Over a million characters have been created with the Saints Row prerelease character creation tool since it launched.

1 Million Saints Row Initiation Station Characters Created

You too could be playing Saints Row: The Third as Nosferatu.

THQ announced today that over 1 million characters have been created using the free “Saints Row: Initiation Station” character creator. The free app, available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC (via Steam) has been used by over 1.2 million users so far to create a wide variety of characters ranging from celebrity lookalikes to various reinterpretations of Hitler.

According to THQ, 24 separate characters have so far been created with the tag “God” attached to them, apparently “representing a variety of religious backgrounds.” The official forums are also seeing plenty of creations being shared, with a whole thread devoted to character pictures alongside the official character-sharing site.

Saints Row: The Third is out on PC, PS3 and 360 on November 15. The Initiation Station is available for free download now on all platforms.
