If you’re old enough to remember super-simple “racing” games on old systems or LCD handhelds, Receipt Racer is a workshop project that will be up your alley. A speedy receipt printer prints a randomly-generated track. Beams of light shining down on the paper represent your “car” and score, and using a controller, you simply guide the car along the track without bumping into the sides or other cars. And I know what I’m about to say is missing the point, but… I do think it would make a neat-looking video game. (via)
