IGN estimates that Facebook games CityVille and FarmVille make more than multi-release console franchises like Madden 11 and Halo: Reach.
The data comes from a combination of a 2010 NPD report that claims 10 percent of Facebook gamers pay real money and a microtransaction company’s estimate that the average player spending real money spends $55.
