Borderlands’ DLC being collected into a ‘Game of the Year’ edition
Is the sheer depth of Borderlands’ DLC keeping you from diving into the epic role-playing-first-person shooter? 2K Games and Gearbox are aiming to make your initiation easy, with a ‘Game of the Year’ edition collecting all four expansion packs into one retail purchase.
Available on October 12 for $60 on the Xbox 360 and $50 on the PC, Borderlands Game of the Year will have $40 worth of DLC packed with the game disc (which currently retails for $40 itself). The first three DLC packs — The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx — will be included on the disc, while a voucher for the upcoming fourth DLC, entitled Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, will be sold with the package. The package will also include a map of all of the unique areas included in the Borderlands world.
Is this new package enticing any of you shooter fans looking to finally make a run for Borderlands? If so, what kept you away before?
