What else EA announced — Fight Night Champion, mystery football game, and more
EA’s annual summer showcase is a wrap down in Redwood Shores, CA (or at least at the phase where there’s no more news coming out of it). Here’s a roundup of the tidbits not quite big enough for their own news story.
Fight Night Champion — We almost broke this out as its own story, but there was only one screenshot and it didn’t feature the new “Full Spectrum Punch Control” feature, so it’s stuck here where we can only tell you about it instead of showing it. Other game features announced are improved physics, punching, dodging, attacking, and locomotion mechanics. Basically, they’re going to make Champion the most brutal-looking installment in the Fight Night series yet. Look for it on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2011.
Shank coming out August 24/25 on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live respectively for $15 — That’s it, really.
EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp — Seems strange for EA to announce a non-Madden football game right at the end of their press conference. But, hey, the Wii Heart Monitor needs something to do so it may as well be football-related. The game features over 70 drills players can practice alongside virtual representations of licensed NFL players and a multiplayer mode where you can compete at the drills or at other mini-games. The game is due out on the Wii November 16 for $100.
