NIS announces three new games, promises more Disgaea down the line
At a preview event held in San Francisco last night, developer Nippon Ichi Software (a.k.a. NIS) announced a new business strategy that cuts their number of releases per year down to three. Sadly that means no new Disgaea this year.
Coming out this year for U.S. audiences are Cladun (PSP/PSN), Atelier Rorona (PlayStation 3), and Z.H.P. (PSP). Additionally, NIS revealed but did not detail the final installment in the Ar tonelico series, Qoga, for PS3 sometime early next year.
The company was careful to say that there will be a Disgaea for PS3 eventually — however, the developer admitted having a hard time with multi-game development, which is what prompted them to start cutting the number of releases per year.
We’ll have previews for Cladun and Rorona as well as first-look write up for Z.H.P. and Ar tonelico Qoga for your shortly. Just as soon as we sift through all the Prinny screenshots. In the meantime, get a load of these:
Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland
Cladun: This is an RPG
Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel
Z.H.P.
