Macy’s jumped on the Kinect bandwagon today, announcing in-store Kinect demo stations at 13 of their stores across the country. Macy’s shoppers can also register to win a Kinect unit between August 12 and September 10.

The Kinect demo stations open July 15, right around when Macy’s debuts their new fashion lines for the fall season. That ought to spice up back-to-school shopping.

The department store chain is also offering a Kinect unit to one contenst winner on their My Style website, which we decline to link to at this time as it’s been hijacked by a phishing scam. The contest doesn’t open until August 12, in any case at which point, we’ll update this story with a working URL.

The Kinect contest ends September 10. No word on how long the playable Kinect demos will last in stores — or on which Macy’s will host the demos.
