Study suggests review scores affect player opinion of games

A study done by The Guildhall at SMU and EEDAR in which players read reviews of a game before playing it revealed that the subjects were more likely to buy the game after playing if they had read highly-rated reviews.

Kinect Can Detect Seated Players

Microsoft has cleared up speculation over Kinect’s ability to detect seated players by confirming that the motion sensing camera is capable of doing so.

UK DSi Sales Jump

Nintendo has reported a jump in UK DSi sales since the handheld’s trade price was lowered last month.
“Since the adjustment in trade price has been passed on to consumers, each of the previous three weeks have seen DSi sales increase by over 40 per cent week-on-week,” Nintendo’s head of communications, Rob Saunders, told MCV.
